Shea butter

Shea Butter found itself in many different products with huge excitement. Experts are held as a superfood and the best thing for our health. Discovered in West Africa, and a lot of work has been done to understand its powers. It contains a range of important fatty acids, including linoleic, oleic, stearic, and palmitic acids. Its many impressive properties have transformed cosmetics and the results they provide embued with shea butter. 

 

1It won't make your skin oily

There are two essential acids contained in shea butter that gives shea butter one of its great characteristics. Linoleic acid and oleic acid are in balance and help each other provide shea butter great properties. They allow shea butter to be easily absorbed in the body without it leaving greasy residue after application.  

 

2It's anti-inflammatory

One of the core compounds of shea butter has been found to have anti-inflammatory properties. What that means is when we use shea butter or products that have shea butter as one of their ingredients it will slow the inflammation. We still dont really know the anti-bacterial benefits of shea butter. We have seen scientific testing results, but much more needs to be understood before allowing shea butter to be digested. These anti-bacterial benefits, shea butter, may decrease signs of acne when applied to the skin. That's something you have to try. 

5It's antifungal

The shea tree has established itself as an effective treatment for skin fungus. Our skin suffers a lot from unwanted fungus finding itself on our skin. While shea butter can't treat all of these it has been seen to be very useful to fight ringworm and athlete's foot.

 

6It may help prevent acne

Shea butter's anti-bacterial properties are well known but its fatty acids are also something to get excited about. They are excellent cleaners. They clean skin from all the build-up of oil that damages the skin and causes acne. After that cleaning, they are an additional defense from those oils by moisturizing and taking care of your face and skin.
