Lavender Dead Sea Salt Scrub - 22oz Skin Exfoliation

I found the lavender scent of this scrub very light and relaxing. I like using an exfoliating scrub a couple times a week. I liked that the Dead Sea salt scrub felt moisturizing, but I didn’t find if very exfoliating. The salt dissolved almost immediately when I applied it to my skin and I used it exactly the way it said on the package. I tried it with drier skin, but it was a little abrasive that way. I did enjoy the little scoop that came with it to get the product from the tub! So cute!

I use body scrubs every other day and before shaving. I am very familiar with other brands, and this one is truly the best. The salt is coarse but finely milled, and dissolved beautifully onto the skin. So much so that I thought it wouldn’t exfoliate well. I was wrong! My skin is the softest it has ever been post-shave. I’d highly recommend.

This scrub is pretty good. My only complaints would be that it is heavily scented, and the scrub dissolves rapidly, so you have to work quickly in order to exfoliate. It does a good job though. I couldn't tell by the packaging if it's authentic salt from the actual dead sea, or if this is merely the name of the product as there's nothing on the box or jar to indicate if it was harvested from the actual dead sea. There isn't a lot of oil in the jar like other scrubs, which is kind of nice because it won't make your shower floor a slipping hazard.

I am all about exfoliating as I age. The Dead Sea Salt Scrub is an excellent, all over, exfoliator but buyer beware. The first time I used this product, my skin started stinging; I had a burning sensation all over. I tried to rinse it off my body as quickly as possible because it was so uncomfortable - even painful. I thought that I may be partially allergic to the product because I ended up with a slight rash on the more sensitive parts of my body. I used it a second time about a week later, and the burning wasn't as bad, except for where I had a scratch on my elbow. The salt burned quite a bit there. I will say that the scrub has a pleasant, clean odor and left my skin feeling very smooth.
